Clean and Simple Christmas Day 3

using the Botanical Blocks III stamp set from PTI I decided that making my elegant card would be easy  I stamped the amaryllis stamp with Versafine and Ranger Gold fine embossing powder  I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush in the colors of Scarlet Red, Red, Pale Green, and May Green with a watercolor brush and water.

Added the word die of PTI Christmas Cheer (Christmas) in gold DCWV Foiled card stock.

Clean and Simple Holiday Cards

Finding your own way sometimes isn’t that easy. Used the tree line die from MFT to start the card. Found that the LF Stitched Snowflakes made a great background. Detailed the snowflakes with Ranger Silver Fine Embossing Powder and the “Merry Christmas” from PTI peaceful pinecones .  My card was done on Solar White Neehan Card Stock #110 lb and #80lb card stock.

Rain

Today it is raining! YEAH!  It has been so long since it has rained, just the smell in the air is something to be cherished in California. Oh my goodness, the rain is just pouring such a great sound on a tin roof of the patio.

Today is going to be a lazy day, I think I will get those Sympathy cards done so I can get them mailed.  Strange how the older you get, the more people pass.  A co-workers father passed away, then my father-in-law passed away, then a co-worker of my husband mother passed away and then another co-workers aunt died all within 2 weeks period. I hope that this is not a trend, or maybe I just need to get some younger friends!

Watercolor Marker

Using distress markers I made this card.  Really liked what it turned out to look like. I used Canson Cold Press 140 lb watercolor paper and the Penny Black Dahlias Stamp set.  I stamped the stamp with Versafine and Hero Thinking of YouArts Embossing Powder with Ultra fine White Embossing Powder. After heat setting the paper, I used distress markers of worn lipstick, mowed lawn, shabby shutters and spun sugar. I decided to back the card to pink bazzill card stock and to use the SSS diagonal stripes background with versafine and the Hero Arts Embossing Powder of Ultrafine White to get a background. Used the SSS summer garden stamp set for the Thinking of You.
