Day One- Heat Embossing

Had a bad time with my embossing powder, I guess even those that are really good have issues at times. The embossing powder I used really didn’t work, but I thought it was worth still posting

Day 1- Clean and Simple Heat Embossing

Clean & Simple Techniques made simple challenge day one. Heat Embossing. Boy I didn’t realize that I had embossing powder that didn’t work, by the way I threw them in the trash can. Still I learned a technique that I can use later in my card making.

I just loved Yana Smakula’s card using simple die cut words and filling the card with all the words and then using just a touch of color.  Love the look of the card. This is my version of the card.

Day 2 Border Gap Die-Cutting & Masking

My challenge was to create repeated gaps in a card design. I wanted to use a die, but I didn’t have a die to use. I always hate that I seem to never have the die I want to use.  Not my favorite card, but I used it for a birthday. Under the camera there is a pull out that says “Say Cheese and Eat Cake”

I can’t believe that I really like the card I made. The challenge is to do DIY Stamps. I fell in love with Shari Carroll’s card and really wanted to see how much I could duplicate it.  I think my card really is very manly and will be very willing to send it to one of the males in my family.
